SYNTHOS™ Nutrient Enhancer For Added Crop Nutrition And Phosphorus Efficiency

A phosphate-solubilizing plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) product, SYNTHOS™ nutrient enhancer converts phosphate-based fertilizer into readily available forms for uptake and use in a variety of crops — making it a must-have for any operation whose soil is facing a phosphorus deficiency. SYNTHOS has a unique formulation containing five specific strains of Bacillus in the form of colony-forming spores that allows phosphorus to be placed in closer proximity to growing roots for crops to access it. This then helps promote earlier maturity and strengthens the crop.

Added Crop Nutrition and Phosphorus Efficiency

SYNTHOS increases nutrient use efficiency by improving soil health. Growth-stimulating bacteria help resolve issues occurring from phosphorous tie-up and have a positive effect, including nitrogen fixation, solubility of phosphorus fertilizer, mineralization and decomposition of crop residue.

Improves Phosphorus Uptake EfficiencySYNTHOS releases phosphorus tie-up and increases phosphorus uptake to improve early season growth.

Increases Plant Available PhosphorusBacillus spp., the bioactive in SYNTHOS, produces enzymes and organic acids that improve the solubilization of phosphorus fertilizer into plant-available forms. They also promote growth metabolites that encourage a more robust root system, improving nutrient and water uptake.

Reduces DustThe mineral oil-based formulation of SYNTHOS acts as a dust suppressant and helps with reducing particle buildup during storage, blending and spreading.

Long Shelf LifeSYNTHOS can be stored for two years before microbial viability is compromised, extending the window for application. It is also viable on fertilizer for up to 18 months, depending on storage conditions.

Increase Nutrient Use Efficiency

With so much phosphorus in the soil being unavailable to crops, growers look for solutions to increase efficiency in their phosphorus fertilizer applications. SYNTHOS helps more nutrients become available to the crop and improves crop adaptability and promotes crop growth.

SYNTHOS Canola Yield Results 2021Treatment had a highly significant affect on canola yield, when the zero P-rate was included. SYNTHOS-treated MAP significantly increased canola yield versus untreated MAP, by 3.2 bu/ac and 3.3 bu/ac at the 30- and 45-lbs P2O5/ac rates respectively. LSD(0.1)=2.87 bu/ac. Phosphorus Levels in Wheat with SYNTHOS 2021A research study conducted by the Indian Head Agriculture Research Foundation looked at the phosphorus levels in a wheat crop when using SYNTHOS nutrient enhancer.
