Protecting Your UAN Investment With CENTURO Nitrogen Stabilizer

Managing your soil pH, timing your UAN application for optimum soil conditions and using a nitrification inhibitor are all good management practices that can minimize nitrogen loss. And now, due to the researchers and developers at Koch Agronomic Services, you can protect your UAN three times longer than without an inhibitor. 1

Introducing CENTURO™ Nitrogen Stabilizer

As the first nitrification inhibitor for anhydrous ammonia and UAN to be registered by the EPA in more than 40 years, CENTURO arms you with a proven tool to defend your fertilizer investment against denitrification and leaching.

What Makes CENTURO Unique?

Developed over the course of nine years, CENTURO and its patented active ingredient, Pronitridine, deliver proven efficacy plus storage and handling benefits for operational efficiencies.

Nitrification occurs when applied nitrogen is converted from ammonium to nitrate. In the nitrate form your investment is susceptible to leaching and denitrification losses. As a nitrification inhibitor, CENTURO slows the conversion of ammonium to nitrate and can hold the nitrogen in the ammonium form three times longer than without an inhibitor.¹

Put simply, CENTURO extends your window of protection against the impact of environmental factors like temperature and moisture on the rate of nitrification. As shown in the model below, in spring applications, 100 percent of nitrogen applied without an inhibitor can be nitrified in two weeks at 75 degrees Fahrenheit. With CENTURO, less than 40 percent of the applied nitrogen would be nitrified.

CENTURO Performance and Protection of Nitrogen

When it comes to operational efficiencies, CENTURO has you covered there, too. This true liquid solution will allow you to say goodbye to cumbersome storage and transportation difficulties. CENTURO can easily pump directly into UAN without the need for recirculation. CENTURO is applied at 1.5 - 2.5 gallons per ton of UAN and is tank-mix compatible with many crop protection chemicals.2

Another major difference between CENTURO and other stabilizers is that CENTURO is 100 percent noncorrosive to UAN and anhydrous ammonia equipment — meaning you get the UAN protection you want without the potential damage to your equipment.

From its in-field advantages to its unequaled flexibility, CENTURO delivers next-generation nitrogen protection in an easy-to-handle, effective nitrification inhibitor solution. To learn more about CENTURO, download the tech sheet or contact your KAS sales rep or visit your local retailer.

CENTURO is not registered for sale or use in all states. Contact your state pesticide regulatory agency to determine if a product is registered for sale or use in your state. Always read and follow label instructions. 1The underlying date is based on third-party laboratory studies funded by Koch Agronomic Services; results may vary based on a number of factors, including environmental conditions.2Per label instructions, conduct a jar test with crop protection chemicals or biologicals prior to tank-mixing to confirm compatibility.  CENTURO™ and the CENTURO logo are trademarks of Koch Agronomic Services, LLC.
