December 21, 2023

Yielding Comparable Results in a Time of Record High Input Costs

These high prices are putting even more pressure on getting the most out of a crop and maximizing yield results. Those growers who choose to protect their nitrogen investment will be better positioned in this current economic environment while maximizing their nitrogen investment.

KEEP YOUR NUTRIENTS WHERE THEY BELONG

A key part of the 4R Nutrient Stewardship approach is to make sure you’re getting the most reliable and efficient nutrient plant uptake. While this is always a smart strategy, it makes even more sense at a time when input costs and supply chain issues have placed additional pressure on growers. Those uncertain conditions have created a situation where the value of a nitrogen stabilizer is higher than ever.

BEAT PRICE INCREASES BY EXTENDING YOUR PROTECTION

Thanks to nitrogen stabilizers like ANVOL™, growers are able to maintain yield results while actually using less nitrogen. At a time when soaring input costs are putting a heavier burden on operations’ nitrogen budgets, Duromide and NBPT—the dual active ingredients of ANVOL—have become even more valuable. Results from comprehensive ANVOL trials should give plenty of reassurance to anyone on the fence about investing in a stabilizer.

In a 2016 Louisiana State University trial, ANVOL with Duromide reduced cumulative ammonia loss to 12 percent, compared to losses of more than 30 percent with untreated urea.¹ In addition, a recent peer-reviewed article concludes Duromide reduces ammonia volatilization loss from urea by up to 33 percent compared to stabilizers using NBPT alone2. That level of protection shows exactly why ANVOL is a must-have for growers looking to stretch their nitrogen dollars.

AVOID ADDED COSTS BY BOOSTING YOUR EFFICIENCY

When you protect the nitrogen you apply, you maximize the nitrogen available for crop uptake. CENTURO™ has proven to be an efficient, easy-to-handle nitrification inhibitor that brings peace of mind while also acting as an essential component for any operation using anhydrous ammonia or UAN.

The below-ground protection of CENTURO gives growers the ability to safeguard their nitrogen—and the results are staggering. In 12 replicated trials3 conducted across four locations in Nebraska, Illinois and Missouri, CENTURO improved nitrogen use efficiency by up to 25 percent. Those results show it’s possible to protect your bottom line by making your nitrogen work smarter and harder.

PROTECTING YOUR NITROGEN INVESTMENT HAS NEVER BEEN MORE IMPORTANT

Don’t let your investment slip away. Whether your goal is to apply less nitrogen or to maximize the effectiveness of what you’re already putting down, your best move right now is to turn to proven stabilizers that can allow you to apply less of it. Talk to a retailer today to see how much you stand to save and learn how ANVOL and CENTURO nitrogen stabilizers can deliver optimal yields and a maximized return on investment.
